Why We Started Zarbya
Zarbya was born from a deeply personal calling.
After years spent in banking and digital marketing, we felt an undeniable pull toward something more meaningful—something rooted in identity, heritage, and purpose. The answer was already woven into our lives. Moroccan rugs were not a new venture for us; they were a family language, spoken for decades.
Guided by a proverb we grew up with—“Choose your father’s profession, and you will succeed”—Zarbya became our way of honoring a lifetime of dedication, craftsmanship, and love. It is not simply a brand we created, but a legacy we chose to continue.

At its heart stands our father, with over 40 years of experience and recognition as one of Morocco’s most respected rug sellers. Through him, we learned that every rug carries a story—of the weaver, the region, the symbols, and the soul of Morocco itself.
Even while facing Parkinson’s disease, his passion remains unwavering. That same devotion defines Zarbya today: honest materials, authentic designs, and rugs selected not by trend, but by meaning.
